Michael on BBC Radio

If you live in Leeds, or just happened to be in the city at around 10:30 yesterday morning, you may have heard the dulcet tones of frooly founder Michael Ord dancing on the airwaves of BBC Radio Leeds.

Michael joined Michelle Walton, owner and proprietor of Bird’s Yard in Kirkgate, Leeds, for an informal chat about supporting independent businesses on the Mid-Morning Show with Adam Pope, and could be heard extolling the view that “if we don’t support the independents, there’ll only be big brands left on every high street”.

The interview can be found on the BBC iPlayer (available until 4th April). Skip along to 1 hour and 36 minutes in, and hear about the inspiration behind both frooly and Bird’s Yard.

Let us know what you think!
