Last week we filmed a short introduction to some of our office team, which was received pretty well by all those who watched it. The outtakes were received even more warmly by the looks of things, and we all had a sensible amount of controlled fun.
After all the merriment and excitement though, we naturally all settled back down and diligently got on with our work. Being the free-spirited, happy-go-lucky guy that I am (whatever you say Richard - ed), I decided not to put the recording equipment away, and left it set up nicely in the corner of the room.
I’ve been called lazy by some, but the more creatively astute recognise that it was an entirely calculated move, designed to capture the kind of unexpected eventuality that was about to unfold.
Because, that very afternoon, Ben Z of BenZ Magic fame (you might know him as Hunter’s Bar’s Magic Waiter) paid us a little visit. He was just passing through, but we challenged him to leave us in awe with one of his magic tricks...and he duly obliged.
You can view the full trick below:
(or click to view our YouTube channel)
Myself and a number of other froolyites in the office have watched this back several times, and we still can’t work out how he did it.
We’re thinking of purchasing some of BenZ’s bespoke magic lessons so that we can put our puzzlement to bed!
If you think you know, please don't spoil the fun for others, but we'd really appreciate your answers on a postcard.

It was the magnets... did you not see them at 2:20. There were magnets in the wallet and the cards are made of iron. I'm sticking with the magnet theory.
ReplyDeleteMagnets... how do they work?
